Haircut!

As you may recall, we considered cutting Silas's hair back in October. Faithful readers of the blog voted against it, and we delayed the haircut as long as we possibly could. I think you'll agree that the time for a trim had finally come:



It's not easy to cut curly hair. Against the advice of many, Meredith decided to forgo the barber and give Silas a "mommy chop."





I divided my time between distracting Silas (Elmo, duck, bottle, books, etc.) and taking photographs.

Shorter, yes -- but what would happen when it dried?



Success! Clearly, Meredith missed her calling as the proprietor of a children's salon. Silas's new 'do is shorter and more manageable, but retains its cute curly messiness.
