Silas goes through eating phases. For weeks he will be picky to the point of refusing his favorite foods and skipping meals; then for weeks he will eat so much that it's hard to keep up with him. These days he is eating massive amounts of food and seems to be hungry at all hours. Common questions are "Cookie?" and "Bottle?" (or, if he's in a truncating mood, simply "Bott?"). And if you give him a cookie, he will celebrate by lengthening the word into a satisfied growl: "Coooo-kieee."
