Uncle Blair

My brother and his family have been stationed in Atsugi, Japan, for more than two years, so Silas had never met his Uncle Blair before. (Lisa, Aden, and Talia have made it back to the states a few times, and met Silas last September.)

Blair is now at the Pentagon. He and Lisa are settling once again in their favorite city, Annapolis. Amid the craziness of the return from overseas -- dealing with two seriously jet-lagged kids, buying a house, buying cars, setting up Lisa's medical practice, figuring out where the coffee is at the Pentagon -- they managed to come to the New York area for a weekend.

Here's Blair and Aden at the 97th Street playground in Central Park. Below, Silas watches Aden play in the sandbox (Silas will be allowed to spend more time in the sandbox when he stops trying to eat sand).

The bouncing bridge was a big hit.

Aunt Lisa and Talia on the swings -- this was Talia's swinging debut.

More photos of the cousins' visit are here.
