Goodbyes

In the week before our move to Inwood, Silas had goodbye meals with two families in our old building -- Noam's and Gabby's. We will really, really miss seeing Noam and Gabby (and their parents!) so frequently.



Noam actually moved four days before us, just across the river to New Jersey, which gave Silas a chance to see what a move looks like -- the boxes stacked in the hallway, the padded elevator, the movers rushing around, the big truck.



You might think Gabby dressed up for the occasion, but this is everyday wear.



Silas asked us, "Is it sad?" We agreed it was sad, while assuring him he would still see Noam and Gabby. To which Silas asked, "Is it very sad?"
