Lately we've posted a lot of photos of Silas eating and Silas riding around in a Baby Bjorn. We do realize that the readership wants variety, but Silas does not live what you'd call a life of variety.

He has, however, lived a life of steady progress. This blog began as photos of people holding Silas while Silas slept. And you may remember the occasional photo of Silas in a drawer.

These days we have new themes, such as Silas leaning over in his Bumbo. And today marks our first post (of many, no doubt) of Silas sitting without help. From our perspective, that is an amazing feat. We still can't get over the sight of Silas wobbling around on the ground with only his tuchis for support.

And, judging by these photos, especially the great one with Charlene, Silas may finally have learned to smile at the camera instead of regarding it with half-scared curiosity.
