Silas Takes Bay Area by Storm

Meredith and Silas flew to the Bay Area last weekend. While it rained in New York, Silas enjoyed all things California: gazing at the ocean through sliding glass doors (with Liz), donning sun hats, and jumping up and down in sun-drenched rooms (with Summer).

As a postscript, Silas had his six-month checkup today. He weighs 17 lbs., measures 26-1/2", and has a head circumference of 44.5 cm. He is fiftieth percentile in all three categories. This was somewhat of a surprise, because we expected him to be off the charts in the weight category. I guess the average baby has the same thunder thighs that Silas has.
