Here's a picture taken a couple of hours ago: Silas and his flowering marigolds, which he planted himself.
In an earlier post, I was fretting about their lack of bloom and asking for advice.
Two dedicated gardeners -- Grandma Keithley and Grandma Charlotte -- wrote back saying the same thing: More sun!
They were right (aren't grandmas always right?). We positioned the marigolds for maximum sunlight every day, and, here in mid-October, we still have plenty of flowers.
