People! This is Silas's life. Visitors arrive, Silas sleeps; night falls, Silas wakes. He doesn't get out much, mainly because his schedule is filled with round-the-clock commitments to eat and poop.
Nevertheless, for Silas's faraway friends and relations who demand a broader view, we've posted some photos of Silas's neighborhood. These are shot by Grandpa Keithley. (With one exception -- the Grandparents Keithley appear in one of the photos. A bit of a Where's Waldo challenge for you. I also appear in one of the photos -- where's Baldo?)
When Silas takes an afternoon stroll with Meredith or the grandparents, here is what he might see, if he could see farther than ten inches. The first photo is our home intersection, Tenth Street and First Avenue. The last photo was taken a mile south of Silas's neighborhood; the federal courthouse where I work is the second tall building from the right. Still a cute kid after all these days.
What preschools has he applied to? How are the Mandarin lessons going? And the spelling drills?
PS - make sure he can spell "Darjeeling"! Oh, it would be the ultimate irony if he missed that one.
Hi Todd! My dad forwarded the blog link - congratulations on your new little sweet pea :) He looks adorable.
I was in NYC on biz this past summer, had I know you were there as well I would have looked you guys up
