Large Quantities of Children

Two sets of twins, two weekends in a row, plus siblings.

Above: We drove to New Jersey to see my longtime friends Stacey and Jeremy, who now have four daughters, the youngest being two-year-old identical twins.

Stacey tried to get a picture of Silas and the four girls, but it was the beginning of our visit and, still cautious, Silas would only join the line-up if I were sitting next to him. Naturally by the end of our trip Silas refused to leave.

From the left: Chelsea, Alea, Sam, Talia.

The next weekend we saw (from left) Otis, his twin sisters Clementine and Lucia, and (not pictured) parents Ron and Lisa.

More photos of their visit are here.

One thing we have learned in the past couple of weeks: it ain't easy to manage multiple kids -- especially when twins are involved.
