Silas had a great time with the grandparents, and since he had just seen them in April there was no period of shyness. When he met them in the airport he shouted and jumped in such joy that they are probably still talking about it.
Here's Grandma Charlotte buying Silas an ice cream bar, while Grandpa Ray tests Silas's ability to share. (Full disclosure: I ate half of the ice cream.) (To protect Silas's health.)
Silas also loved having a yard at his disposal. Pretty much as soon as he woke up each day he'd say, "Let's go play in the back yard!" Below, he's wielding a trowel to help Grandma Charlotte plant snapdragons (in the front yard).
Summer and adorable Henry met us at the reservoir for a brisk morning walk:
We also took Silas to Central Park every day (the other Central Park).
