Silas is chatty these days. The occasional six-word sentence with subject, verb, and object is no longer surprising. It's hard to capture his talkativeness on video because he tends to make a play for the camera -- or, as below, to make a close examination of the lens.
There's something about hearing Silas utter everyday banalities that cracks us up. In addition to "How are you," he asks "What's the matter?" and says "That's so weird." and "Oh my goodness!" (No idea where that last one came from.)
Silas likes to elongate his food requests. Milk requests go like this: "I want (deep breath) more more more more more more more milk." And similarly: "I want ... cheery eerie eerie eerie eerie oh-ee-ohs." (To which the only possible response is, "You mean you want cheery eerie eerie eerie eerie oh-ee-ohs please.")
